How can I stop getting flustered when using foreign bank notes?

 

Do a (very) little advance planning

We all get a little confused and flustered when faced with the unfamiliar but in this case some simple advanced planning can make a big difference.

 

1. Order your currency in advance - not at the airport or using a cash machine when abroad. That way you’ll have time to familiarise your denominations.

 

2. Write the equivalent value in your local currency on the corner of the notes in pencil, that way you’ll have the information to hand when you use the notes and you’ll soon learn their value.
